I’m back with my co-stylist Taressa Wills and we’ve set up a rustic ladies only party perfect for end of summer outdoor entertaining. Purples are Taresssa’s favorite color scheme and I knew her back yard would make for a perfect backdrop for our lunch.

Table Setting
The lavender potted plants are from ThermaLeaf®. The laser cut wood Cheers sign is from The Crazy Bunny Lady on Etsy. Recently, I’ve been having an obsession with laser cut wood. HA! It was also used in our Confetti Party Play Date. I love taking one piece of decor and being able to use it over and over in many different ways. Check out how I created a photo prop by hanging it inside of a hula hoop for a kids party here!
We set the table fairly simply, going for the rustic country look. Taressa has some beautiful dinnerware! The plates and flatware are from Mikasa Italian Countryside Dinnerware. The purple crystal stemware is Waterford. Also from The Crazy Bunny Lady on Etsy are the laser cut wood names for seating. I love these wooden name cards because you can use them over and over. Make a set for your family, and then you are ready for holidays, birthdays or gatherings! I think these would be fabulous for a Thanksgiving tablescape as well! The center glass vase is a Kate Spade New York piece. We wrapped our napkins with some burlap ribbon and added a stem of flowers. This is great if you’re trying to add a splash of color into your place setting! We grabbed our white tablecloth on Amazon. Ice bucket and burlap runner is from Hobby Lobby.
Food & Dessert
The appetizer we created was a cheese board, one of my go to’s for any kind of party. It’s great because you don’t need to cook anything for it. Just buy the items and plate it, done! Tip: take a sprig or 2 of the flowers you are using at your table and add them to your cheese board. It kicks up the fancy factor! I do this with desserts as well! After lunch, we had a blackberry & cream angel food trifle! Just layer store bought angel food cake with cool whip, blackberries and blueberries. Finish off again with a sprig of flowers on top! This is a great outdoor summer dessert because it’s not heavy when you’re sitting out in the heat. Grab the trifle bowl on Amazon. We needed additional table space outside, so Taressa had the idea to bring out her dresser that matched perfectly! This dresser was a DIY project she did herself a year ago. She refinished an old dresser and added new knobs from Anthropology. Thanks for stopping by! Anyone else having an end of summer gathering?! Let me know your outdoor dining tips!
