Galentine’s Day Dessert Party

Galentine’s Day is a day to celebrate your girlfriends! I love it because I love everything pink and girly. So anytime I get a chance to have my girls over, I’m ready to go full on glam decor and pull out all the red, pink and purple!

Table Setting

I found this red lip vase at my local Albertsons grocery store for 50% off, only $6! It’s now my new favorite piece of Valentine’s decor. It’s just so so cute! The main idea for this Galentine’s party was bows, bows, bows! I placed a velvet bow on each napkin on the place settings. Chiffon ribbon bows were also tied to coffee mug handles. We are doing a dessert and coffee theme, so the mugs and chunky goblets were perfect for the table. The bright pink sequin tablecloth was quite the star of the show! It screams girls night! The napkins are my favorite hemstitch napkins from Solino Homes in pink and lavender. My flowers are always from Trader Joe’s, and went with red and light purple roses!

Backdrop

For the backdrop, I hung some metallic fringe garlands in layers over my buffet. Instead of a balloon garland, I taped pink, purple and red balloons framing the fringe. To keep with my bow theme, I taped velvet and chiffon ribbon bows to the balloons.

Desserts

For the desserts, we had a chocolate mousse cake from Trader Joe’s, as well as their heart shaped macarons. I made candy cups in pink coupes that were tied with pink yarn. The candies were chocolate hearts, heart jelly beans and pink and red lip shaped gummy candies. An easy way to serve a dessert in a push pop is to buy the mini cupcakes you find at your grocery store and just plop 2 of them into the push pop stacked on top of one and other. Remove the cupcake liners before placing them into the push pops. I sprinkled my sequin confetti to jazz up the buffet.

Finally, I had to pull out my red Nespresso maker for lattes! It matched so perfectly. I hope you enjoyed these Galentine’s party ideas! Will you be hanging out with your girlsfriends this Galentine’s day?
