No doubt we are in the era of Eras! Taylor Swift is my daughter’s current favorite songstress, as she is with many around the world. Such a fun year to do a Taylor themed party, as my daughter Ellie turns 10. Double Digits Era was a perfect way to celebrate! While I do not know all of the Swiftie lingo and Easter eggs yet, my girl helped me plan her party, telling me all about the friendship bracelets, icons of albums and colors of records. Haha. Bracelet making – here we go!

Photo Booth Backdrop
My daughter’s favorite Taylor album is 1989. The original cover is of a polaroid and my daughter got a polaroid camera for Christmas and wanted a backdrop to take photos of her and her friends. I found the “10” marquee on Facebook marketplace and our playroom has a large Ellie marquee already, so that made for the perfect location. Adding several metallic fringe garlands made for a sparking backdrop. I added a banner made from my Cricut of red lips, polaroids, butterflies, hearts, etc – some of her album icons. Last, Ellie had the idea of making a large polaroid prop from poster board and writing her initials and birth year, similar to the 1989 album cover with Taylors’ initials and birth year.
Dessert Table
Over the dessert table, I had an Eras colored balloon garland and linking balloons as friendship bracelets reading “double digit era”. I created her Eras themed cake topper and table confetti, which I sell in my Etsy shop! Her cake was ombre purple with edible butterflies and a disco ball. Finishing the desserts were homemade red velvet cupcakes and sugar cookies. Beautiful cupcake toppers were found on Etsy by MarshandFin. Edible cookie toppers were by NgieLove on Etsy as well. Linking balloons were from Busy Mama Party Co, who has since closed her shop, but I believe you can find linking balloons on Etsy or Amazon. Party tip: instead of sprinkling your confetti all over a table or dessert bar, create small clusters of it for a different twist!
A fun DIY that Ellie and I did together was to create microphones in each of the eras colors and name each album in letter beads. I found a pack on plastic microphones on Amazon and spray painted the handles the Eras colors. We glued bracelet letter beads to the handles with each album name and added my custom Eras glitter mix as well. The microphones were set on the dessert table, dining table, party favor table and mantel as decor.

Music
The only thing my daughter asked for as a birthday gift was a record player and a Taylor Swift album. So we made a special spot for that at her party! We got her the 1989 album and she ended up getting Lover and Midnights as gifts, so we had plenty of songs to play and sing and dance to!
Tablescape
Trying to keep with a mostly red and purple theme, purple checkered plates and red lip napkins were used on the table. Disco ball dessert plates and fillable capri sun style drink cups finished the place setting. Each drink pouch was personalized with the guests name with bracelet beads and Taylor Swift themed stickers. The table runner was wrapping paper I found on Etsy by PlaySimplyKids! It was so so cute and went with my light purple theme; I knew it had to make a part of the party in a big way! And it was personalized with Ellie’s name. I made the 10th Era flag in the flowers, which I also sell in my shop! The “Meet me at Midnight” clock is just an old clock I had on hand and added some Eras themed glitter to jazz it up.

Party Favors
For the party favors, we went with mini cat purses. Taylor has a love of cats, as do we! We are cat obsessed and love the song line “karma is a cat”. We got the purses, Taylor sticker sheets and Karma is a cat canvas print from Temu. We made the signature bedazzled heart shaped sunnies with letter beads and mini rhinestones. The purses also held candy, Taylor stickers and pre-made Taylor themed friendship bracelets. Ellie made the thank you tags herself in Canva! One of Ellie’s Christmas gifts was this Eras themed throw blanket that we hung over the table as decor.
Activities
For entertainment, we had MadCap Balloons come to make balloon animals for the kids! It was so fun! Theresa is amazing! We had her at Ellie’s 4th and 5th birthday parties as well. Ellie said one of Taylor’s icons is the balloon dog, so she thought having a balloon twister would be fun. Then the kids got to use the balloon creations as props at the photo booth!
Of course we had friendship bracelet making! I found a kit on Amazon. We had an Eras nail painting station. I painted the girls nails with the Eras colors. The kids got to pick out “best believe I’m still bejeweled” rings to bling themselves out after their nails were painted! Lastly, there were Taylor Swift themed temporary tattoos.

Cutest event of the day – Our friends’ son Charlie learned the song Teardrops on my Guitar to sing to Ellie at her party! He’s seven!!!! He did an amazing job singing and playing his guitar! I mean, can you even?! All the heart eyes! Check out BrothersGuilfoyle on Instagram!
Snack Board
At the last minute, I created an Eras themed snack board. I did my best to get foods in all of the Eras colors. Not perfect, but still tasty and cute!
I hope you enjoyed all the different parts of our party! Will you be throwing a Swiftie party this year or going to her Eras Tour?! Let me know in the comments!
