Hiya! Can you believe it’s almost the start of a brand new year? I will be at a wedding this New Years Eve, but I had a couple fun party ideas I wanted to share so I did a little mock up! And it turned out so cute! 99% of everything I used were things I already had, so definitely look around your home to see what you have before going out to buy!

DIY Balloon Chandelier
I have a stock pile of every color balloon, as well as a plethora of all things party and craft related, haha. To start, I made a balloon “ball drop” that I hung from a tree above our table! I made a balloon ball of white, clear and gold balloons. I have a silver fringe backdrop I got from Target for $5 a couple months ago. I cut a chunk of that off and taped to the inside of the balloon ball. It was SO pretty blowing in the wind!
Watch it in action!
Tablescape
Remember that silver fringe backdrop I just cut a chunk off of? I used the rest down the table! And now you have a $5 table runner!
Instead of a floral centerpiece, I opted for a cheese board. Tip: place the cheeses facing outward so it’s easier for guests to grab or slice the cheeses. This way, they aren’t cutting towards the center of the board.
DIY Napkins
Table setting ideas! To jazz up plain napkins, try embossing them with a stamp like “cheers” or a stamp of a bottle of champagne. Easy tutorial to come! For place cards, I used tags I had stashed away and placed the guests initial on it with a sticker letter. Tie on a disco ball and you’re set! The disco balls are actually ornaments that I got from Target for $3/ set of 6!
Bar Cart
You can keep your bar cart simple and just display your drinks and/or desserts. I found Champagne flavored cotton candy at Target. You can add some to the tops of your champagne flutes for a stellar presentation! I made a simple 2019 banner out of glitter card stock and number stickers. Tied on extra silver fringe to the handle for some shimmer and bling. And added a piece of white fringe garland to dollar store noise makers. “Drink Up” acrylic sign is by Mulberry Market Design. Laser cut wood “Cheers” sign is by the Crazy Bunny Lady.
I found free printables on Pinterest for the cupcake toppers. These clocks are by Pixels & Paperie. I used a 2.5 inch circle punch for cut gold glitter circles and glued on the 2 inch round clocks. It’s SO easy to make your own cupcake toppers! Check out my tutorial for an easy how to. I love to reuse decor pieces, so I set the cupcakes on a make shift cake stand that I used for the Kids’ Christmas Play Date. It’s a clear bowl upside down on a charger, filled with gold ornaments. I hope you found some inspiration for your own New Year’s get together! Let me know your best NYE decor ideas!
