Hi all! Ellie’s birthday is here and we had a family dinner to celebrate early before her party. I’m working with Kate from Kate’s Safe & Sweet on her birthday cupcakes and she sent me their Baking Box! It’s packed with everything you need to bake up these perfect Mermaid themed cupcakes! The best part of Kate’s Safe & Sweet is that it is Top 8 Allergen Free. So that means it’s free of peanut, tree nut, gluten, dairy, egg, fish/shellfish and soy, and it’s vegan. Ellie has a severe peanut allergy, so I feel great knowing these products are made in a dedicated facility.

Included in my baking box was the cake & frosting mix, all natural sprinkles, piping tip set, piping bags & template, cupcake liners, party candles, mini coloring/activity book with colored pencils (Ellie loved!), plant based food coloring, cake/cupcake toppers and directions & how-to card. I mean, that’s a lot!! This is a great birthday box to get a child who loves to help with the baking too.
Now if you do not need your cupcakes/ cake to be vegan or dairy free, you can still use butter and milk. Since we only have a peanut allergy, we did use regular butter, milk and oils for baking, but you have the option of using rice milk and vegan butters. The cupcakes were wonderful! Ellie and I especially loved the frosting! Check out Kate’s Safe & Sweet Instagram page to see more on their products!
For the table, I’ve link below the items I used! I made multi-colored pom poms to tie around the glass milk bottles to give them a kick of color and a palm leaf as a place mat.
