One of my best friends, Holland, and I used to love throwing parties together! We did many bridal showers and baby showers and had so much fun planning and crafting. Not long ago, she moved across the country to be closer to her family. While she did not know many people in her new city, she decided to host a Flamingle Party at her home, just outside of Charlotte, NC, to get to know more ladies. So she asked the friends that she did know to invite their friends, in hopes of growing her friend circle. I helped her plan a few things and she executed it so well I thought I’d share it! There are some really cute details to her Flamingle! These cute pink pineapple napkins came from Wilford & Lee Home Accents. The bowl they are in is a line from Nora Fleming and you can find them on Amazon. Holland has many of her platters and you can get different charms to put in the serveware. In this bowl, she has a palm tree that is removable so you can change out the charms to coordinate with a holiday, season or party theme. It’s such a festive idea!

She served 7 layer dip in individual mini mason jars and I think that’s such a smart idea! Keeps the flies off your food while you’re chatting. Other appetizer options were Caprese bites, mini chicken salad sandwiches and mini pimento BLT cheddar biscuits from Pizzazzerie. I’ve been wanting to try this recipe! Holland bought the sequin table runners from my Shop page of my blog, and you can find those runners here for less than $10 each! And the pineapple card holders and menu cards are such a wonderful touch! They came from Pottery Barn.
Desserts were pecan pie and these adorable mini cupcakes in a variety of flavors by Phyllis’ Sweet Shop. Pineapple and lemon cupcake toppers are from Meri Meri. Hollands’ cousin Kristy Gammill painted her this gorgeous flamingo painting that she used as a backdrop for her desserts.
Holland set up a very cute “Flocktails” station with a mimosa bar! As well as another great recipe from Pizzazzerie, the Pink Flamingo Punch Cocktail!
Even the party favors were adorable! Flamingo and pineapple decorated sugar cookies by our good friend Caitlin at Cafe Everyday Sunday. They were individually wrapped and Holland had made a tag that said “Thanks for being Flocking Fabulous!”
There were props for the ladies to take photos together, as well as a large inflated flamingo and a backdrop in balloons that said “Lets Flamingle”. I love how these props were sitting on a vintage chair. Also, a great tip is to create your own hashtag and tell your guests to use it so everyone from the party can see all of the great pictures from the night!
I absolutely love the vintage glassware she has and you can see it throughout the party. Just stunning! Holland also nailed the popular pineapple vase. Such a cute centerpiece!
Vintage settees set out as seating areas for mingling with flamingo and pineapple blankets to take off the evening chill.
Holland framed her invitation which is something I always try to do as well for added decor! She found her invitations on Etsy at Cards by Caldwell. The wooden pineapple was from the Dollar Spot at Target and said “Welcome Y’all. Since I’m kind of still new here, open this book and give me some advise on what to do in Shelby! Thank you!”. This is a great icebreaker and a nice way to get to know your guests. What kind of ice breakers or activities do you have at your parties? Would love more ideas on this topic! Hope you enjoyed these photos and got some ideas for your next summer flamingle!
