This is as easy as they come. Once you have the basic tools, you can make fabulous cupcake toppers in minutes! Here’s how.
What you need:
- Card stock, variety of colors or patterns
- Lollipop sticks, small wooden sticks or tooth picks
- Glue or glue gun
- Paper punches – the type will depend on your needs. Can’t go wrong with standard rounds! And I can’t tell you how many countless times I’ve used this mustache/bow punch. Most craft stores have a variety and, as always, I find a coupon before I purchase!
- Add ons – you may want embellishments, such as 3D bows or small letter stickers to spell out words or phrases
How To:
The how to is pretty straight forward. Once you punch out the paper, you can glue directly on to the stick. You can also layer your punches to create designs or add the embellishments or letters. From experience, I recommend using a hot glue gun to adhere the paper to the stick of choice. I’ve tried many glues and some are unreliable and fall apart quickly. Don’t be afraid to play around with colors, patterns and designs! Happy crafting!
