Christmas Dining with Scott Living

Christmas is upon us now that Thanksgiving has passed. Now is the time to plan your Christmas dinner and dining table! I just got a new dinnerware collection that is sleek and modern and perfect for everyday use. But it is also a great creamy white that you can dress up for any holiday with colorful linens. I also can’t wait to show you my beautiful holiday charcuterie and mango wood tray!!

Tablescape

Starting with the Scott Living Oakhurst dinnerware, it comes with a dinner plate, coordinating salad/dessert plate, bowl and mug. I love the modern design with the curved edge. I think you can’t go wrong with having a white or cream based dinner set as well because adding color through napkins or flowers is easy to do. The Axis glasses have a fun design that gives a little more interest on your table.

For my napkins, I went with 2 styles. One is a deep forest green embellished with a red and white snowflake ornament and gold bell. The other is a red polka dot napkin folded into a bow shape and adorned with a gold bell. Gold flatware adds some bling to the table, perfect for the holidays!

For my table runner, I used a cedar garland from Trader Joe’s and added eucalyptus and gold jingle bells. My friends Amanda from Rusty Chic Decor gave me the idea of placing my green table runner vertically on my table setting, and I think it looks fantastic! To finish it off, I added a vase of flowers and tall taper candles.

Charcuterie

This is probably one of my favorite charcuterie boards I’ve ever made! I love my new serving tray from the Scott Living collection at Macy’s! Regular wood boards often are hard to move once you’ve created your charcuterie, items can fall off, etc. This tray with handles makes it easy to carry from your kitchen to your dining table with ease. My board includes salami, prosciutto, manchego cheese, grapes and a variety of crackers. I also have a honey goat cheese and fig butter that go so well together! I finished it off with some nuts, chocolate present bites from Trader Joe’s and peppermint meringues.
