Season of the Witch Halloween Party

The Season of the Witch is here! Who doesn’t love some fog and dry ice with their Halloween party?! This Halloween dinner party was inspired by some beautiful rusty colored ribbon and copper and gold mixed tones. Living in Los Angeles allows us to have outdoor Halloween parties with a crisp evening and full fog machine effects! Perfect for having over your favorite witches!

Table Setting

I wanted a very chic, feminine and whimsey vibe for the table. Black plates, black coupes and black cutlery were paired with an ivory gauze napkin, a copper crescent moon plate and my resin letters that say “BOO”. On some place settings, there was a black wood sign that said “trick” and some said “treat”. The flatware was adorned with ribbon in shades of rust, terra cotta and tan. Each glass was resting on a hand made Halloween Resin coaster with a boho acrylic stir stick and a spider clip attached. The spider clips were found at the Dollar Tree. My centerpiece of dried florals sat atop a gauze table runner with several tall candlesticks with black candles.

Here’s some fun facts on dry ice. It’s cheap! Only $1.99 at my grocery store for a large bag. Make sure to wear gloves when handling it as you can get burned. Chisel away a small chunk to put in your drink. The reaction occurs with any liquid. Only consume your drink after all of the dry ice has evaporated from your glass. Also, know that it will not affect the taste or consistency of your drink.

Food

You can never go wrong with a good charcuterie board! I tried to stay with the reds, purples and whites with the meats, cheese and crackers. Round out your board with a couple plastic spiders and/or skeletons to make the appetizer festive. I made brownies with googly eye candies and of course had a punch bowl with dry ice! You can make a white wine spritzer and add the dry ice for a full effect, perfect for your Halloween witches!

The food table was finished off with a vase of dried florals, a copper candelabra and black linen napkins folded into bats! I saw this tutorial from Tiffani Monique!

Backdrop

My free floating backdrop consisted of black mesh netting, a sheer black table runner draped over a large wooden dowel and a gorgeous mini tassel garland with wood beads from Amanda at Rusty Chic Decor. I also added some of the terra cotta and ivory ribbon and a Moroccan lantern hanging on the side. And Mr. Skeleton was there to greet you with wine! Will anyone be having their witchy friends over this Halloween?!
