30 Something Birthday Party – Kate Spade Inspired

When turning another year older doesn’t sound appealing at all, it’s best to party with your besties. Let’s just stick with 30 Something; we no longer need specifics. =)

The Kate Spade themed parties were and still are a definite trend! And I love it! Probably one of my favorite color schemes with hot pink, black, white and gold! “Donut kill my vibe” cake topper was by All That Glitters Party Shoppe on Etsy. I used flower wrapping paper that I found at Target in my white Ikea vintage-looking frame. What’s wonderful about that frame is that it’s so affordable ($24.99) and you can do so much with it! You will see it in many of my party pictures. I often frame wrapping paper that matches my party theme. You can lay it flat and use it as a decorative tray, hang it on a wall or prop it on a table or on an easel!

Again I used the wrapping paper in the bottom of a clear tray that I got from Target. I hand made the “sweets” banner, cupcake toppers and menu cards. Check out my DIY Crafts page on how to make a banner and bow cupcake toppers.

Every party needs a beverage table. I got the “BAR” marquee letters at Michaels, with coupons of course. (Who doesn’t use a coupon at Michaels!? It’s a sin not to because there is always one available!) Find cardstock that matches your theme, and you can use these marquee letters over and over again.

Individual champagne bottles with tags, straws and ribbon are an extra special touch!

Tip: Add edible glitter to ice cube trays once they are close to being frozen. Freeze a little longer and you’ve got a nice wow factor for your guests’ drinks!

To complete the Kate Spade look on the table: Black and white striped table runner (Just Artifacts), gold chargers (borrowed) , white ceramic plates (Dollar Tree! Yes, Dollar Tree!!) , hot pink napkins (World Market)!

Take a look at the straws. It’s up there in my top faves of party details. I glued a paper punch bow to a paper straw. So easy and so cute! I bought clear candlesticks from Dollar Tree and spray painted them gold. And printed name cards – play around with fonts until you find one that speaks to you! =)

If you are hosting an adult party, I can’t stress enough the importance of a Signature Cocktail! Multiple reasons. 1. It’s so cute and fabulous! 2. You may be able to tie in your party theme, which gives you bonus points. Haha! 3. Overall, it saves you money! Instead of having to buy a full stocked bar with mixers, you are buying just a few ingredients/alcohol. I may also have a couple bottles of wine on hand or some beer, but you really save on cost with just one type of drink.

I hope you enjoyed my Kate Spade inspired party details!
