Alice In Wonderland 5th Birthday Party
I can't wait to share with you my daughter's birthday party! She just turned 5 and will be off to Kindergarten this Fall. It's unreal to think she's not a baby or a toddler anymore! She's a big girl! Cue the tears! My daughter Ellie asked for an Alice in Wonderland party and the party planner in me burst! Haha! This theme is so much fun and there is so much joy in going all out!

To start, I knew I wanted to set the dessert table as a tea party tablescape. Chargers, plates, silverware, cups, chairs as the end caps. The plates became the serving trays for the cookies. I also had a candelabra, vintage clock, white bunny and a tea pot as vases, bite size treats, macarons, "eat me" and "drink me" tags...all the things you would imagine at a Wonderland Tea Party. For the backdrop, I wanted a color block balloon garland in the main colors of the party. I found amazing paper party props on Etsy, the Falling Alice and the Cheshire Cat, which I hung in the balloon garland. Play cards were hung on clear fishing line and dripping down from the red balloons! I got other Alice in Wonderland themed cut outs, tea cups, tiered serving tray and tea pot flower vases from Oriental Trading. A fun DIY was making the "talking flowers"! I used paper plates as their face and tissue paper fans as the flower petals. I hand cut some eye brows and created the faces with circle paper punches to make them look like they are singing! The kids table was also set as a tea party and had macarons and mini eclairs, as well as heart shaped watermelon for the Queen of Hearts, of course!
This magnificent cake was made by my brother in laws bakery, Charm City Cakes West. It was definitely the highlight and centerpiece of the whole party! Every layer was amazing and the details were just beyond!
The beautiful sugar cookies by Caitlin at Cafe Everyday Sunday were as much for decoration as they were for a tasty treat!! These cookies really brought this party to life! I was completely obsessed with setting them everywhere, as they added that amazing Wonderland feel to every inch of this party! You will see them throughout the photos! As always, my flowers came from Trader Joe's and cost about $35 total! I created little clusters of flowers in tea cups and tea pots and vintage bowls, and placed them throughout the set up. The "Eat Me" and "Drink Me" tags were printables from The Curious Wonderland on Etsy.
Again, these beautiful paper props were by The Crafting Corner Co. on Etsy. The details were insanely intricate!
"Paint the Roses Red " wall! I simple taped the flowers up. Here I had "drink me" bottles, Queen of Heart lollipops, a cheese and veggie board and party favors.
The party favor bags were so darling! I found free printable picture quotes on Pinterest by TeePee Girl. Taped them to simple white favor bags I found at Target. The Thank You tags matched our "Drink Me" tags by The Curious Wonderland.
"Drink Up" sign by Mulberry Market Design.
My sweet girl Ellie had a blast! We had 2 bounce houses in our back yard! Plus a balloon artist, tea pot piñata and arcade games in our man cave to keep the kids busy!
Teresa from Madcap Balloons is fabulously talented! We had her at last years' party as well! I hope you enjoyed the detailed of this party! What's your favorite part of this set up? Or what have you added to it?! Would love to know!
