Memorial Day Party

Who is ready to kick off the start to summer? I am! My family and I are ready for cook outs, swimming and beach days with friends! We had some friends and neighbors over to grill some burgers and dogs and let the kids go wild in the bounce house! A couple weeks ago I won a Crated party in a box. Crated has themed party boxes that are coordinated by professional party designers to give you a Pinterst-worthy party! My red, white and blue summer party box included a variety of printed placemats, dessert plates, napkins, forks, name cards, water bottle wrappers, cups, paper straws with flags, dessert cups, cupcake toppers and an art print that I framed. And these are not basic supplies. They are

Ellie had been asking for a garden party for a while. I think because she kept seeing a home insurance commercial that starts with the dad saying "I pinkie promised my little girl a fabulous garden party for her birthday..." Anyone know what I'm talking about?? Hahaha! It's on all the time. Anyway, the party girl I am said why not!? This can be so cute! And guys, it was! At least Ellie and I think so. ;) I can't wait to show you the details! Over all, for the garden party, I went with lots of fr

Strawberry Cheesecake Trifle

My friend Taressa sent me a family recipe she has been using for years and it was so wonderful, I thought I'd share it (with her blessing of course!) Even on Mother's Day I can't hide from "Mom! Mom! Mom! Mom!". At least I get donuts and unlimited mimosas. =) I'm going to show you how a roll of wrapping paper can make a whole party! Happy Mother's Day! I found a roll of beautiful floral wrapping paper at Target last year and that became the theme of my DIY Mother's Day Breakfast. So easy, even Dad can set this party! You can find a similar roll of wrapping here. To start, I cut a piece of the wrapping paper to line the bottom of my clear acry

Fiesta like there's no Mañana! Cinco De Mayo is just a couple days away! With a few party supplies, classic margaritas and taco dip, you can throw together an easy fiesta in no time! One of my favorite fiesta details is to add the piñata fringe look to mason jars. Take vibrant streamer paper, cut fringe and layer. That's it! Serve beverages in them or use to hold straws or utensils. Party City has sombrero hats, colorful margarita glasses and maracas to give a festive look! Target had the mini d

When I saw the new line of Opalhouse at Target, I immediate bought several pieces opening day! Anthropology look at Target prices - be still my heart!!! I saw the beautiful Boho plates, and planned my Mother's Day table around those. And I'm telling y'all, I'm a Target-aholic. Most of this party came from Target, as does pretty much everything in my entire house. Ha! These melamine plates are only $3 for the dinner plates and $2 for the salad plates! I found the gold chargers at the Dollar Tree!

Teddy Bear Tea Party in the Forest

When two little ladies ask for a tea party, you make it happen impromptu! I often blog about affordable parties. Wanna talk affordable? That's when you go to your neighbors, raid their house for all things tea party and rummage through their pantry for cookies. Haha! I had a ball teaming up with my best friend Taressa and her neighbors, Karen and Corey, who helped us put this lil ditty together! Taressa found us the perfect location amongst a forest of trees. Her grandmother crocheted the gorgeous lace tablecloth. Karen generously lent us the vintage bunny tea pot set with matching napkins and napkin rings, which went perfect with our fairy-like woodland setting. Once we dressed the kids, th

Farewell Fiesta

When your bestie decides to move her life across the country away from you, you immediately cry for hours! But after it sinks in, and you realize it's the best decision for her and her husband, you send them off with an amazing farewell fiesta party of course! First, I LOVE fiesta colors! So vibrant! Second, I think that incorporating personal touches to parties is so important; and knowing my BFF, a photo booth was a complete must have! Sombrero hat, honeycomb balls, and tissue fringe garland made for a fun and festive backdrop. For an easy, handmade banner, go here! If you are going to have a Photo Booth, I say you must have props! It's so much fun! I even printed out a photo of the guests

Kids Birthday Party Idea

Spring is here and the weather is warming up! I put together a sweet lil kids table with lots of bright tableware that screams happy birthday! Hope you like it! Starting with vibrant colors of reds and yellows, I made a table runner of honeycomb halves and a gold sequin runner. All of it came from Just Artifacts. Harlequin napkins from Shop Sweet Lulu gave the table a pattern pop! Wrapping ribbon around glass milk bottles is an easy DIY to add color to a table. Each setting had a cupcake stand with a cupcake and gold glitter star topper. Party favors were push pop containers embellished with gold ribbon and filled with gum balls. Think of it as a candy confetti popper! Push pop containers we
