When I saw the new line of Opalhouse at Target, I immediate bought several pieces opening day! Anthropology look at Target prices - be still my heart!!! I saw the beautiful Boho plates, and planned my Mother's Day table around those. And I'm telling y'all, I'm a Target-aholic. Most of this party came from Target, as does pretty much everything in my entire house. Ha! These melamine plates are only $3 for the dinner plates and $2 for the salad plates! I found the gold chargers at the Dollar Tree!

Teddy Bear Tea Party in the Forest

When two little ladies ask for a tea party, you make it happen impromptu! I often blog about affordable parties. Wanna talk affordable? That's when you go to your neighbors, raid their house for all things tea party and rummage through their pantry for cookies. Haha! I had a ball teaming up with my best friend Taressa and her neighbors, Karen and Corey, who helped us put this lil ditty together! Taressa found us the perfect location amongst a forest of trees. Her grandmother crocheted the gorgeous lace tablecloth. Karen generously lent us the vintage bunny tea pot set with matching napkins and napkin rings, which went perfect with our fairy-like woodland setting. Once we dressed the kids, th

Farewell Fiesta

When your bestie decides to move her life across the country away from you, you immediately cry for hours! But after it sinks in, and you realize it's the best decision for her and her husband, you send them off with an amazing farewell fiesta party of course! First, I LOVE fiesta colors! So vibrant! Second, I think that incorporating personal touches to parties is so important; and knowing my BFF, a photo booth was a complete must have! Sombrero hat, honeycomb balls, and tissue fringe garland made for a fun and festive backdrop. For an easy, handmade banner, go here! If you are going to have a Photo Booth, I say you must have props! It's so much fun! I even printed out a photo of the guests

Kids Birthday Party Idea

Spring is here and the weather is warming up! I put together a sweet lil kids table with lots of bright tableware that screams happy birthday! Hope you like it! Starting with vibrant colors of reds and yellows, I made a table runner of honeycomb halves and a gold sequin runner. All of it came from Just Artifacts. Harlequin napkins from Shop Sweet Lulu gave the table a pattern pop! Wrapping ribbon around glass milk bottles is an easy DIY to add color to a table. Each setting had a cupcake stand with a cupcake and gold glitter star topper. Party favors were push pop containers embellished with gold ribbon and filled with gum balls. Think of it as a candy confetti popper! Push pop containers w

Going Away Party Ideas

With 4 out of 5 of my best friends moving out of Los Angeles in the past 2 years, I've had my fair share of going away/farewell parties. People move for all sorts of reasons. We're at the age where the next chapter in our lives have started and inevitably friends move away for career, kids or to be closer to their families. I'd like to show you a few ideas I had on bidding farewell to friends via one last hurrah! We had a couple of friends move to Nashville, TN, home of country music! So they got ready to wear their cowboy boots and said "Yee Haw Y'all!" one last time with us in LA. I made a banner with card stock and sticker letters and printed out some cowboy boots. The menu was southern

Frozen Birthday Party

Whose kid has not been obsessed with Frozen?! Ha! My daughter has every Frozen toy on the market and we've watched the movie countless times. It was an easy fit for her 3rd birthday and I'd love to show you some of the details! Just Artifacts has been a big party secret of mine for years! Amazing value and super cute party products! The tissue snowflakes, expanding tissue garlands and silver sequin table runner were all from their online shop. I typically make all of my party banners - for a quick tutorial, check out my how to here! The frame from my Sweets sign came from Ikea and I use it for almost every party by replacing the contents with wrapping paper that matches my theme! Oriental Tr

Easter Table Setting

This isn't an ad for Target, though they made my Easter dreams come true! Ha! I saw their bunny plates, then the flowery napkins and loosely based everything around that! It was pretty much a one stop shop for this tablescape. The light pinks, blues and white screamed spring and I couldn't wait to get started! I loved my little bunny centerpiece! It's a trough vase by Hearth & Hand and a bunny candy dish from the Dollar Spot! I put the bunny on top and surrounded it all with hydrangeas. It's like the little bunny is popping out of the garden. =) At Target, I found the plates, beautiful blue glasses, adorable bunny ear napkin rings, table cloth and burlap table runner (runner was only $4!) Oh

Will You Be My Bridesmaid Ideas

Recently engaged? Set up a brunch to ask your besties to be your bridesmaids! Check out these photos for inspiration and ideas! I printed out tiny cards that said "Will you be my bridesmaid?" and used a mini clothes pin to clip it to a champagne glass. That's it! Set up a really sweet brunch and you're good to go! Plates are from Pier 1. Don't forget mimosas! Pitcher and carafe are from Pottery Barn. Straws were from Shop Sweet Lulu!

Star Wars Birthday Party - May the FOURS Be With You

Was this party for my daughter or my husband? =) Well she asked for it, but his birthday is 1 day before hers, so this is a nod to him. With my daughter turning 4, this was the perfect theme! I can't wait for you to see all of the fun details! To start, I found the black starry backdrop and star garland at Target - worked great! I made the banner from card stock and sticker letters. Find out how here! The cardboard stands of R2D2 and C3PO are from Oriental Trading and really make parties come to life! I've started using the character stands at almost every themed party! The gold sequin table runner is from Just Artifacts and was only $10! The wind was fierce that day, so trying to get a good

Anniversary Party in a Box - DIY Gift Idea

Being the crafty crafter that I am, here is an idea for you on gift giving! Homemade and hand made gifts are so personal and can be a great way to celebrate an occasion! Here's how! For this party in a box, I thought a party banner, confetti popper, items for cupcakes and of course champagne would make a great celebratory gift! All wrapped up in a memory keepsake box! I chose black and gold as my main colors and went from there. For the banner, I used card stock and glitter letters from Michaels. Check out how to make a banner here! I used only the inner pennants for this banner. Next I made cupcake toppers using card stock and glitter letter stickers found at Michaels. SO easy! Find out how

Minnie Mouse Birthday Party

The Minnie Mouse theme party is pretty common as she is such a beloved character, especially for little girls! She quickly became my daughter's favorite, so it was easy to decide on what to do for her 2nd birthday. =) This party was all about the Minnie Mouse silhouette with her classic red & white polka dotted bow! Normally, I make my own banners, but I saw this banner on Etsy by FeistyFarmersWife and thought it was so cute! Black honeycomb balls made the perfect head, and small, black paper fans made the ears to my Minnie heads. I made the polka dotted bows from card stock! The adorable cake is from Charm City Cakes West. Ellie's Uncle Duff did a great job! The cute Minnie Mouse sugar cook
